A new chapter for metalcore icons: Bullet For My Valentine to headline O2 universum in Prague
Bullet For My Valentine made a massive breakthrough with their debut album The Poison, igniting a new generation of metalcore fans. On February 16, 2027, they’re bringing their upcoming record Social Apocalypse—signaling a new era for these scene veterans—to Prague’s O2 universum. Joining them as very special guests are electronic music pioneers (and so much more) PENDULUM.
Although Bullet For My Valentine didn’t become an overnight sensation, things moved fast after the release of their self-titled EP in late 2004. Soon after, they headed into the studio to record what would become their debut album, The Poison (2005). The band later admitted they didn’t have enough material ready and decided to just “wing it as they went.” The single “Tears Don’t Fall” turned into a massive hit, and the album itself went on to sell over 500,000 copies in the US alone. That same year, they hit the road supporting juggernauts like Metallica and Guns N’ Roses.
BFMV made their Czech debut on the main stage at Rock for People 2011, returning to headline it again in 2016. They have played a long list of shows in the Czech Republic ever since. Their most recent visit was to Forum Karlín in Prague in 2025 alongside Trivium, celebrating the 20th anniversary of both bands’ iconic debut albums.
Joining Bullet For My Valentine on this tour are fan favorites PENDULUM, who also share a rich history with Czech crowds. They last captivated tens of thousands of open-air festivalgoers at Rock for People 2024, followed by a massive headline arena show at Forum Karlín the following year in support of their album Inertia. Alongside standout tracks from the new record, fans can definitely look forward to their biggest (and now immortal) classics like “Voodoo People,” “Witchcraft,” and “Tarantula.”
