Jan Smigmator will transform O2 universum into the world’s largest jazz club. The Ultimate Jazz Night concert will take place on April 29, 2026
A grand gala concert celebrating Jan Smigmator’s 40th birthday will turn the O2 universum Prague into the world’s biggest jazz club for one unforgettable evening. Round tables on the floor, intimate lighting, a glass of champagne, and an exclusive opportunity to toast with the artists during the concert.
Accompanied by his own big band, a large vocal choir, and exceptional international guests, Smigmator plans to fill the multifunctional hall with a capacity symbolically comparable to the legendary Carnegie Hall, where he performed his solo concert on April 29, 2023, as the first Czech jazz singer in history.
The concert guests will include Smigmator’s musical friends: legendary American saxophonist Scott Hamilton, Broadway star Luba Mason, and Rubén Blades—a singer, musician, Hollywood actor, composer, and lyricist who holds 24 Grammy Awards. During the evening, there will also be a ceremonial launch of the new album Here And Now, recorded with all the mentioned guests and organist Ondřej Pivec at New York’s Flux Studios.
Jan Smigmator says:
“I wish for O2 universum to become a world-class jazz club for one night—to raise a glass of champagne together, enjoy the full-bodied sound of a top big band, and experience the intimacy of a true club meeting. I believe we can make it happen!”
“Working with icons like Scott Hamilton, Luba Mason, and Rubén Blades feels like living in a dream. It’s both an incredible learning experience and a tremendous joy. I’ve admired their work for years, played their recordings on the radio for fifteen years, but I never imagined we’d become friends.”
Tickets are available through official Ticketmaster and Ticketportal websites.
