Makro Czech Gastro Fest 2026: The biggest gastronomic event of the year is here again – even bigger, tastier and more inspiring!
In recent years, Makro Czech Gastro Fest has emerged as an absolutely exceptional event that connects the world of gastronomy across generations and professions. It has become a place where top chefs, bartenders, students, suppliers, foodies and lovers of good food and drink meet.
And in 2026, the festival will take it to a whole new dimension – on April 10 and 11, in the O2 universum in Prague, you can look forward to a diverse program that will be a combination of culinary spectacle, interactive experiences and professional inspiration.
Visitors can look forward to meeting chef Zdeněk Pohlreich, popular creator Karel “Kovy” Kovář, writer, gourmet and actor Lukáš Hejlík or one of the foreign culinary stars.
Friday, April 10 – Professionals’ Day
The first day of the festival will be dedicated primarily to the professional public – chefs, bartenders, sommeliers, hoteliers and other professionals in the gastronomy sector. Friday’s program promises not only professional growth, but also inspiring experiences that can take your career and business to a new level. Visitors can look forward to inspiration, education and networking.
Professional workshops and lectures – presenting the latest trends, innovations and technologies in gastronomy.
Networking & B2B meetings – a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues from the Czech Republic and abroad.
T-Tender competition – a prestigious bartending competition organised by the Czech Bartenders’ Association.
Premiere of the MAKRO GASTRO CUP competition – a new competition designed for students of hotel and gastronomy schools, which will support young talents and introduce future stars of Czech gastronomy.
Saturday, April 11 – A Day Full of Flavors for the Public
On Saturday, O2 universum will transform into a huge gastronomic paradise and open its doors to the general public. And there will be something for everyone – from families with children to gourmets to fans of modern gastronomy.
They can look forward to:
Tasting delicacies from leading Czech, Slovak and foreign culinary personalities.
Cooking shows by top chefs who will share their most popular recipes and tips.
Thematic zones and an expanded outdoor program, thanks to which they will discover flavors from all over the world.
The final of the Master Bartender competition from Pilsner Urquell, where the best bartending year from the Czech and Slovak Republics will be decided.
