5th Annual Makro Czech Gastro Fest – Energy, inspiration, and a new level for the gastro scene
Over the past four years, Makro Czech Gastro Fest has become a phenomenon in the Czech culinary scene. It is far more than just a festival; it is a meeting point for professionals, brands, suppliers, students, and the general public—a platform that connects the entire gastronomic world, creating a space for inspiration, new opportunities, and collective growth.
The fifth edition of Makro Czech Gastro Fest will take place on April 9–10, 2027, at O2 universum, taking the event to the next level. It will feature a more robust program, new formats, prominent figures from both the Czech and international culinary worlds, and, above all, the kind of energy that drives the entire industry forward.
Guiding visitors through the festival will be three prominent figures from the Czech culinary scene: Zdeněk Pohlreich, Kristína Nemčková, and Lukáš Hejlík. Each brings a unique perspective on gastronomy, yet together they embody its diversity, energy, and drive for continuous evolution.
The program offers something for everyone—from industry professionals to food enthusiasts among the general public. The Pilsner Urquell Master Bartender competition will once again be a highlight of the Saturday program, while Friday will showcase students from culinary schools competing in the final of the second annual Makro Gastro Cup, organized by Makro Czech Republic.
