A spectacular tribute to the legendary Vangelis: Monumental symphonic arrangements and visuals at O2 universum in April 2027
After a successful concert in 2026, Vangelis’ music returns to Prague. Come and enjoy a unique music-visual show and an exceptional tribute to one of the most important pioneers of electronic music. The special guest of the evening will be Daniel Hůlka, who will sing the legendary song Paradise.
The music that fundamentally shaped the atmosphere of the film epic 1492: Dobytí ráje (1492: Conquest of Paradise) and conquered world cinemas and millions of listeners around the world will be heard on April 21, 2027 in Prague’s O2 universum. Following the extraordinary success of the concert in 2026, the Vangelis Original Symphonic Concert returns as a spectacular tribute to the work and legacy of Greek composer Vangelis. The exceptional evening will combine monumental symphonic arrangements with breathtaking visual projections that will take the audience into the unforgettable worlds of Vangelis’ music. In addition to the cult composition Ráj performed by Daniel Hůlka, famous melodies from the films Blade Runner, Chariots of Fire, Bitter Moon, Bounty and Alexander will also be heard.
The evening will primarily belong to the iconic soundtrack of the film 1492: Conquest of Paradise, whose central track Conquest of Paradise has become a worldwide symbol of heroism, hope and human determination. Acclaimed British conductor Pete Harrison, who has many years of experience in interpreting film music, will undertake the musical staging. One of the most respected Czech symphony orchestras The City of Prague Symphonic Orchestra will perform under his baton.
