Celebrate 25 years of magic with the film concert Harry Potter and the Goblet od Fire™ in Concert
Celebrate 25 years of magic since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone™ first enchanted movie audiences with us, and join us at the fourth installment – Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire™ in Concert – accompanied by the Prague Symphony Orchestra, which will perform Patrick Doyle’s unforgettable music live.
As the world of Harry Potter celebrates 25 years of magic, the film concert series returns to Prague with the fourth installment. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in Concert in high definition on a large screen, accompanied by the 90-member Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, will be available for audiences to enjoy twice at the O2 universum – February 13, 2027, at 7:00 PM and February 14, 2027, at 1:00 PM. The Prague symphonists, under the baton of Ernst van Tiel, will perform Patrick Doyle’s unforgettable music live. The film will be screened with Czech dubbing and Czech subtitles.
“The fourth installment is significantly darker musically, and Patrick Doyle gave it a completely new character. His music brings emotional depth and tension to the story, accompanying Harry, Ron, and Hermione on a journey from which there is no return to childhood. At the same time, it introduces new motifs and instruments that, when performed by the 90-member Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, will give the film a whole new energy,” says Tibor Engler, concert promoter from FILMPHONIC.
Film music plays an important role in the story of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Patrick Doyle, also known for his music for the films Braveheart, Hamlet, or Sense and Sensibility, added a darker and more dramatic atmosphere to the fourth sequel. His music accompanies Harry during the dangerous tasks of the Triwizard Tournament and in moments when the story of the entire series begins to change significantly.
In Prague, it will be performed live by the 90-member Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK under the baton of Ernst van Tiel. Audiences will thus hear the famous film music performed by a symphony orchestra directly in the hall while watching the entire film.
“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is one of the most epic installments of the entire series. Patrick Doyle’s music is exceptional – dramatic, majestic, and full of emotion. I am already looking forward to the energy we will create together with the orchestra. It will be a magical evening,” adds conductor Ernst van Tiel.
Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and CineConcerts created the Harry Potter Film Concert Series, the only official global concert tour celebrating the Harry Potter films. Since the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s/Philosopher’s Stone in Concert in 2016, more than 4.5 million fans have enjoyed this magical experience, which is scheduled to include over 3,000 performances across more than 48 countries worldwide – now part of the global 25 Years of Magic celebration honoring the beloved film franchise.
In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter is mysteriously entered into the Triwizard Tournament, a grueling contest among three wizarding schools in which he confronts a dragon, water demons and an enchanted maze only to find himself in Lord Voldemort’s grasp. All will change when Harry, Ron and Hermione leave childhood forever and face challenges beyond their imagining.
Patrick Doyle’s music (Braveheart, Hamlet, Sense and Sensibility), awarded the International Film Music Critics Award (IFMCA) and the ASCAP Film and Television Music Award, brings a new musical signature to the world of Harry Potter. Doyle distinguishes himself from John Williams’ work as early as the opening sequence, where he works with the familiar Hedwig’s Theme in an altered form. He also creates his own musical world of magic and spells and utilizes new instruments and sounds – percussion plays a prominent role, including Japanese taiko drums and other unconventional sound effects.
Justin Freer, President of CineConcerts and Producer/Conductor of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series explains, “The Harry Potter film series is a once-in-a-lifetime cultural phenomenon that continues to delight millions of fans around the world. As we celebrate 25 years since audiences first discovered Hogwarts on the big screen, there is no better way to honor that legacy than experiencing this music performed live by a symphony orchestra, all while the beloved film is simultaneously projected onto the big screen. This is truly an unforgettable event.”
Brady Beaubien of CineConcerts and Concert Producer for the Harry Potter Film Concert Series added, “Twenty-five years later, the magic of Harry Potter continues to unite generations of fans. Performing this incredible music live with the full film allows audiences to celebrate that legacy together in a way that simply isn’t possible at home.”

About Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK
The Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, also known as the Prague Symphonists, is a leading Czech ensemble with a remarkable tradition and international renown. As the official orchestra of the capital, it is based in the Municipal House, and from 2031, its home is expected to be the Vltava Philharmonic. The orchestra was founded by Rudolf Pekárek in 1934 under the abbreviation FOK (Film – Opera – Concert), symbolizing the original branches from which the musicians came. One of the reasons for the orchestra’s formation was the end of silent film, whose screenings were accompanied by live music. It is therefore highly symbolic to play live to a film projection 90 years after the orchestra’s founding. In the 1930s, the orchestra recorded music for most Czech films, has a catalog of gramophone, radio, and television recordings, and has toured most European countries, the USA, South America, and regularly performs in Asia. Since the 2025/2026 season, the chief conductor and music director of the Prague Symphonists has been Tomáš Netopil.
