The fifth year of the popular pop culture festival Comic-Con Prague will take place from April 5 to 7, 2024 in Prague’s O₂ universe. Fans can meet the iconic character Arnold Rimmer from Red Dwarf at the event, but they can expect a list of other big names to mark the event’s half-round event.

In the spring, Prague will once again turn into a paradise for fans of comics, films and series, costumes, video games and board games or books and paintings. Comic-Con Prague celebrates its 5th anniversary and attracts extra stars.

“Chris Barrie, the British actor who is most famous for playing the role of Arnold Rimmer in the series Red Dwarf, will arrive at the fifth edition of Comic-Con Prague. We are in talks with other Hollywood stars and will publish their names gradually. We pay special attention to the list, because the fifth year is already a small jubilee. I believe that we are in for the biggest Czech Comic-Con yet,” says Pavel Renčín, marketing director of Active Radio, which organizes the event.

David Nykl, a Canadian actor of Czech origin, known today primarily as Dr. Radek Zelenka from the TV series Stargate Atlantis. “From the comics creators, we are looking forward to Stjepan Šejić, the legendary Croatian writer and comic artist, known, among other things, for his work on the series Witchblade, Aphrodite IX., Sunstone and Temnota,” adds Václav Pravda, program director of the festival.

Visitors can enjoy engaging talks about video games, comic or literary worlds as well as popular science and technology or visit special exhibitions. Creators and artists from different countries will present and sell their works in Artist Alley. Merchandise associated with popular franchises will be available for purchase on site. Within the giant video game room, new and retro consoles, virtual reality, but also gaming computers or laptops will be presented, while the board game room will offer dozens of tables for card and board games and puzzles. An integral part of Comic-Con Prague will once again be a large Pokémon zone with tournaments, a card exchange and other programs.
