Massive Attack returns to Prague! After four years, the cult trip-hop band will present itself to the Czech audience to remind them why it is one of the most important musical projects of the last decades.

Massive Attack are a seminal English trip-hop group formed in Bristol in 1988. They have released five studio albums to date, sold over 13 million records worldwide and won numerous awards including a Brit Award, two MTV Europe Music Awards and two Q Awards.

The band currently consists of the duo of Robert “3D” Del Naja and Grant “Daddy G” Marshall with a host of studio and live guests (Tricky, Shara Nelson, Horace Andy, Young Fathers, Azekel and more). Their 1991 debut album “Blue Lines” became a milestone in the evolution of popular music. Together with their next successful album “Mezzanine” in 1998, it was one of the 500 most important albums in history in Rolling Stone magazine’s poll.

Massive Attack made modern music history with their approach to music and its visualization. Concerts are accompanied by impressive projections, the lyrics of which the band has translated into Czech when they perform here. If any band touches on modern visual art, it is Massive Attack, along with Radiohead. Massive Attack has recently become very involved in the fight against pollution and climate change.
Massive Attack’s latest work is an audiovisual EP from July 2020 called “Eutopia”. This three track fusion was recorded in five cities during the global lockdown covid period. Artist Mario Klingemann contributed to the generative algorithmic visuals, while Algiers, Young Fathers and American poet Saul Williams contributed to the music.
Few musical groups today purposefully reflect the state of the world in their work – Massive Attack, moreover, are one of the most trusted. Their concert is a powerful experience that will stick in your mind for a long time.
