The Universe of John Williams – A multimedia tribute to the legendary composer again in Prague!
After last year’s success, the epic concert show The Universe of John Williams returns to the O2 universum. This original concert show celebrates the work of the most successful film composer of all time.
Audiences can look forward to the unforgettable music of five-time Oscar winner John Williams – the author of legendary melodies for films such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, E.T., Jaws, Superman, Schindler’s List and Home Alone.
Multimedia show
The concert will offer a unique audiovisual experience performed by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and a large choir. The visual side of the evening is completed by projections of film scenes, animations and special effects. On large screens, the audience will also see live details of the orchestra.
Conductor Pete Harrison and behind-the-scenes stories
The evening will be hosted by British conductor Pete Harrison, who will guide the audience not only through the music, but also through the stories associated with the creation of famous compositions. For example, he will reveal why John Williams had doubts when creating the music for Schindler’s List, how he almost didn’t have time to finish the music for the film Home Alone, or how the unmistakable Indiana Jones fanfare was created.
Musical surprises and Darth Vader
The organizers and the conductor are coordinating the dramaturgy of the concert until the last moment, and the program will be different from last year in many moments. But what is certain is that the audience can once again look forward to the spectacular arrival of Darth Vader, which was one of the highlights of the previous concert.
Christmas atmosphere
The evening will end in style with a magical melody from the film Home Alone, which will bring a gentle Christmas atmosphere to the concert hall – the ideal end to an unforgettable evening.
